Associate Professor Phithagorn Thanitbenjasith, Ph.D., Vice-president and Dean of International College, North-Chiang Mai University, acting as a representative of Ajarn Chutima Chavasint Vice-president, and Assistant Professor Phantip Navanuch, Ph.D., Dean of Faculty of Law, together with Ms. Panomporn Saejeng, director of Huizhong Language School and Hnun Panya Foundation provided lunch box, drinks, and fuel oil for fire extinguish machine to support and encourage the forest fire prevention team. Received by Mae Mae Village’s headman Mr. Surasak Inthasri, Moo. 9 Mae Mae, Tambon Mae Ram, Amphoe Mae Rim, Chiang Mai.

International College student visit to Wat Lok Molee for a cross-cultural activity: Songkran Festival 2024

On 9th April 2024, Ajarn Surakit Khumwongpin brought the International College student to Wat Lok Molee, located in Amphoe Mueng, Chiang Mai, for a cross-cultural activity: to learn about Songkran Festival traditions.

Making of the firebreak (fire prevention) activity

International College and the Office of Student Affairs of North-Chiang Mai University, together with the residents of Mae Mae village, participated in the making of the firebreak (fire prevention) activity led by the village headman Mr. Surasak Inthasri, Moo. 9 Tambon Mae Ram Amphoe Mae Rim Chiang Mai, Phu Phing, Forest Fire Organization (Mae Mae), Botanical Garden Organization, waterfront restaurants and shops. The event is held annually to raise awareness about forest natural resource protection, forest fire prevention, and an alternative solution for forest smoke fire and PM 2.5 dust issues.
