On 9th April 2024, Ajarn Surakit Khumwongpin brought the International College student to Wat Lok Molee, located in Amphoe Mueng, Chiang Mai, for a cross-cultural activity: to learn about Songkran Festival traditions.
International College and the Office of Student Affairs of North-Chiang Mai University, together with the residents of Mae Mae village, participated in the making of the firebreak (fire prevention) activity led by the village headman Mr. Surasak Inthasri, Moo. 9 Tambon Mae Ram Amphoe Mae Rim Chiang Mai, Phu Phing, Forest Fire Organization (Mae Mae), Botanical Garden Organization, waterfront restaurants and shops. The event is held annually to raise awareness about forest natural resource protection, forest fire prevention, and an alternative solution for forest smoke fire and PM 2.5 dust issues.
Students of the international college, Mr. Uzochukwu Emmanuel Aniche, and Mr. Nathan Joseph Nutting, along with Dr. Nwafor Lloyd participated in the 14th World Peace Ethics Contest (World-PEC) 2023 from 23-28 January 2024 at Ing Tawan Seminar Center, Khao Kew Sadet Education Center, Prachin Buri, and won the 9th and 12th prizes.

Our International College students joined a lecture about cultural exchange as a part of the Social and Traditions course, on 5th September 2023, with Ajarn Neeranath Tachumpa, the lecturer of the course. On 9th August, 2023, Ajarn Vachiraporn Pattarowas brought the International College students to Baan Tawai Village and Wat Tawai, located in Khun Khong, Hang Dong, Chiang Mai, for an active learning field trip focusing on learners’ engagement in various activities.
