About the college
Innovation College was approved for establishment by the North-Chiang Mai University Council at meeting No. 3/2561/82 on 20 February 2019. The college was created to provide education in innovation that can contribute to labor-market development in Thailand and internationally.
The college officially began teaching operations on 1 June 2019, with an initial emphasis on graduate-level education. Its earliest programs were the Master of Education in Educational Innovation and the Ph.D. in Innovation Management for Business Development.
In academic year 2021, the college expanded its academic scope by adding the Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Business Management and the Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management.
Today, Innovation College develops graduates with competence in innovation, management, digital technology, entrepreneurship, research, ethics, and social responsibility.
College philosophy
To produce graduates, researchers, and innovation entrepreneurs with morality and professionalism, and to create knowledge, innovation, and academic services that elevate the economy, society, and communities under good governance and the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy.
Provide education that develops competence in educational innovation, digital business, and entrepreneurship in response to labor-market needs.
Promote lifelong learning and future-skill development for students and academic communities.
Create research, innovation, and knowledge that respond to economic and social development needs.

M.Ed. in Educational Innovation and Ph.D. in Innovation Management for Business Development.

Based on an anonymous review of ICIMS thesis, dissertation, independent study, and publication records, the college's graduate research is concentrated in digital transformation, innovation management, strategy, educational innovation, sustainability, and organizational change.
64 thesis, dissertation, and independent study titles plus 25 publication titles were reviewed from the ICIMS academic records. The website presents only aggregate themes, not student personal records.
The themes align with the new TQF curriculum direction: AI, Big Data, digital strategy, business intelligence, cybersecurity and data privacy, ESG mindset, lifelong learning, and research utilization.
